Reindeer Lodge An eco friendly accommodation in the snow clad forest. Stay in modern, comfortable wilderness cabins at a peaceful place. Rest and enjoy the sound of sparkling fire and the heat from a wood stove. Have a cosy night snuggled up in your warm sleeping bag. Arctic wildlife and reindeer are just around the corner as your nearest neighbours   Our Reindeer Lodge is remotely situated just a few kilometres outside Jukkasjärvi village. The distance to Icehotel is about 3 kilometres. The lodge has a timber log building for meals and four twin bed cabins. With extra beds the cabins can accommo­date up to four persons. Each cabin is heated and equipped with a wood stow for cosiness. In the timber log building we serve breakfast and excellent dinners made from local ingredients like reindeer and moose meat, and the freshwater fish arctic char. Take a relaxing bath in our steaming wood-heated sauna, with a refreshing jump in the powder snow as a final. This is wellness and balsam for the soul.   To preserve the wilderness feeling our lodge doesn’t have the comfort of a hotel. But what is not available in comfort you gain in cosiness. No running water in the cabins and a common but comfortable toilette compensates with silent surroundings and candlelight atmosphere.

If you are lucky the Northern light sparkles in the sky, and if not, just to experience the light at midnight is spectacular. A shining moon will cast shadows from the trees as the snow reflects the light and you can see for miles. Hire equipment Wintertime you can start snowshoeing or skiing on your doorstep. It’s also possible to just take a walk along the snowmobile tracks.
