Philip is joint artistic director of Imploding Fictions, artistic associate of Company of Angels and works regularly for the International Department at the Royal Court.

As director productions include the award winning Hamletmachine (international tour to Cairo, Rome, Amsterdam), Norway.Today (Junction and Southwark Playhouse) and SATB (BAC). Philip was dramaturg to James Macdonald on The hour we knew nothing of each other (National Theatre) and assistant director to Ramin Gray on The Ugly One (Royal Court).

As translator from German to English Philip's work includes Faust is Hungry by Ewald Palmetshofer (Royal Court) and Nightblind by Darja Stocker (Company of Angels).

Philip is also an active juggler and magician and has performed with Circus Tabasco. Other stage appearances include Now You See It; Now You Don’t (BAC, London) and Im Weissen Rössl (Theater Lüneburg).

Philip graduated from Rose Bruford’s Directing Course with a 1st Class degree in 2007.
