Ordering

When ordering a knife or any other product from me I will usually need some basic information to make everything run as smooth as possible.

I will need the following details:

1.                  what model or type of knife, bow etc you are interested in?

2.                  what kind of materials would you like?

3.                  any special requests that you might have.

When I receive this information I will, as soon as possible, give you a price quote on that specific type of knife and an estimated delivery time. Please note that I am only a part time maker, and during the period March to end of August I work very hard at my ordinary day job. Therefore I may not always be able to give you an answer right away – usually it will take up to a week or sometimes even two during this time of the year. Any other time of the year you usually will get an answer in less than a week.

Delivery time is at present approximately 12 months +/- 1 month (starting when the order is formally finalized). I will do my best to keep a quoted delivery time, but please understand that it is very hard for me to be more exact as there are simply too many variables in life. I will keep you informed when I start on your knife, and during the process of making it, so that you will know of the progress or any delays there might occur.

After we get the first ordering details sorted out I will also need some personal information.

I will need the following personal information:

·                     Full name and postal address.

·                     Cell phone number - so I can reach you if your email (or mine) is not working.

·                     alternate email or fax (if any)

All personal information is of course kept strictly confidential, and stored only in my order book!

Then what ?
So now you have ordered the knife, then what's next?
Well, it may often take a couple of months before I start on your actual knife. I usually grind a batch of blades at a time to be able to focus purely on grinding – the same applies to heath treating. When the blades are heat treated and cleaned up, I will finish the knives one at a time in the order that they appear in my order book.

Payment is due when the knife is ready to ship. Normally I do not need a deposit on orders. However, on some special orders where the materials needed are very expensive and have to be sourced elsewhere, I may sometimes ask for a down payment to help keep things in balance. If a down payment is needed, you will be notified about this when you get a price quote.

I accept payment via:

  • Paypal
  • Visa / MasterCard (via Paypal)
  • Bank guaranteed checks

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
