President of the Jury Rodolphe Viemont
Writer and director, born in Angers, France, in 1975. After studying engineering, he developed a passion for film and attend courses at the ESRA. His life is now devoted to that art form even though he will never give up writing altogether. |
After some testing film, he is most recently noted for his 4th short film, "Un Eclat", with Aurelien Recoing in the lead role, a film whose lives will be (among others in the spiritual world) consistent with 28 festivals and 8 awards, including the awards for Best Photography at the Festival du Cinema de Paris, Best Actor Performance at the San Francisco Short Film Festival, and Best Art Direction at the Festival du Film de Strasbourg. "Un Eclat" marks the turning point in his young career, which Olivier Py says: "I found this film really beautiful, great courage and admirable sensitivity. It is above all the beautiful film, a correct fit, an image still strong." Rodolphe Viemont founded in late 2008 his production company, Inward Productions, with whom he co-produce a documentary about late 2010's "Apocalypse Tapestry" in Angers. Relationships that R. Viémont also wanted to gather around a text called "The Temporal" whose premise is that cinema can be an art of resistance "speed today". He just finished writing his first feature film, "Take me Away", a romantic love story in the form of a semi rock road movie. | |
