I began to study hypnotherapy, after I attended a one-day workshop about using it for relaxation. I am a Hypnotherapist because I have found that its techniques are helpful to me and to other people. I am always more interested in finding a solution, and if possible a quick solution, than I am in finding out why a problem exists.
People tell me I'm "a good listener", but I understand the value of privacy. I was born in West London from Scottish parents (my Mother was bi-lingual Gaelic and English). I feel a strong affinity to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, and rural Ireland.
I have has wide ranging experience of the world; I have worked as a steelworks engineer, a power-station designer and a IT consultant (25 years for IBM). Hypnosis has been of great help to me and I enjoy sharing its benefits with others.
I received my hypnotherapy training from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis
I sometimes suggest to people that they keep a diary as part of the therapy. For different people, the contents can vary. The act of keeping a such a record seems to be useful, because it gives a certain amount of objectivity and reviewing it after the events described can provide insight. I take my own medicine, and here is my diary, in the form of a Blog: Old Boar's Eyes. Don't expect to learn anything too profound, and you will never read any mention of my patients. |
