Chatterton Letter - For sale
While surfing the Web I was startled to find an original Chatterton letter for sale. I was even more startled to see the price - £14,000. It is rightly regarded as a very important letter in the Chatterton story. However, Bristol appears not to have the will to own such a letter - more's the pity. A photocopy of this letter would, no doubt, be welcomed at our main Bristol library.
