Blagoveschensk (old blazon). Instituted on July 5, 1878. Description: "In green shield a silver wavy belt accompanied with three gold eight-pointed stars in the top of a shield. The shield is crowned with ancient imperial crown and is surrounded with gold oak leaves, connected by Alexander tape".

Blagoveschensk (new blazon). Instituted on December 25, 1997. Description: "In green shield a silver wavy belt. Above this belt the three gold eight-pointed stars are placed in one row. The shield is crowned with gold crown and is surrounded with gold ears, connected by Alexander tape of red colour".
