Velkomin á heimasíðu Kristínar Bjarnadóttur 

 Í Ljóðahorni  -  eru sýnishorn texta frá tveim áratugum. Í skúffunni  Því að þitt er landslagið má finna kafla úr samnefndri ljóðsögu frá 1999 en smellirðu á sama nafn hér fyrir neðan koma fram upplýsingar og brot úr umfjöllunum um bókina.

Kristín Bjarnadóttir is an Icelandic poet living in Sweden. She is born 1948 in Blönduós a little village on the north cost of Iceland. Her parents were farmers and she grew up on their farm with five brothers and sisters until the age of 17. 
She studied  theater in Denmark (1971 -1974) and literature and philosophy at the university of  Gothenburg. She worked as an actress in Denmark and Iceland and later in Sweden.

Kristín Bjarnadóttir appeared as a poet 1979, being published in literary magazines in Iceland and in the antology of new poetry, Nýgræðingar í ljóðagerð 1970 - 1981 (Idunn 1981). In following years she used to give readings in public and in radio programs but she never published those texts in a book. In 1985 she won a price for the one-act-play Take Care (Gættu þín) and in the beginning of the year 2002 she got an award in a poetry contest in Iceland for The first Dance.
In February -April  2002 Kristín was staying in Buenos Aires to meet the places and people of tango.
