The Marketing Society Young Marketer of the Year 2008

We are inviting entries for The Marketing Society Young Marketer of the Year 2008. This is one of our most prestigious annual awards and has been keenly competed for in the past few years.

Entrants must be aged 30 or under on 31 December 2007, and demonstrate that they have personally made a significant contribution to a key marketing initiative in their company. This activity should have taken place in the 12 months to the end of December 2007.

Short listed entrants are required to make a fifteen minute presentation and answer questions from a distinguished panel of marketers at Haymarket's offices in Hammersmith. In order to be short listed, entrants must submit a brief description (not more than 2000 words) of a key marketing activity to which they have personally contributed. This should be accompanied by a CV of no more than two pages.

The winner will receive a scholarship for the tuition fee of an INSEAD Executive Education Programme to be taken by June 2009, and membership of The Marketing Society.

Winners in the past few years have been drawn from a variety of different companies, but they have all impressed the judges with the story of their contribution to a successful marketing initiative.

In 2007 Dominic Groundsell of BT described the launch of BT Total Broadband; in 2006 Nimali Weerasinghe of Visit London presented the story of their campaign to bring more Japanese tourists to London; in 2005 Estelle Alty from Nestle described the relaunch of the company's Easter Egg range; and in 2004 Kate Hardcastle from Silentnight described the launch of My First Bed in her pyjamas!

The deadline for entries is 15 February and the presentations will take place in April. Please click here for more information.

If you fulfil our entry criteria, I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story, and if you are no longer in the right age group perhaps you know someone who is and could forward this email on to them?

Kind regards,
