Synopsis of the Film: In the dead of night in a peaceful suburb of Berlin, a man embarks upon an unusual illicit affair.
Bio-filmography of the Director: Middlesbrough (UK) born filmmaker David Cave studied film & television at the University of Ripon & York St. John, graduating in 2000, before returning to his native North-East to forge an career in film and television production.
To gain industry experience, David worked on a number of British and international feature films including The One and Only - Dir. Simon Cellan Jones - and The Skulls - Dir. Rob Cohen - and television productions including BBC Zenith North's Byker Grove and ITV's Wire in the Blood as well as numerous commercials and short films.
Since then David has written and directed a number of no-budget shorts and in 2003 completed his first UK Film Council funded digital short. In 2004 he developed his first low-budget feature length screenplay, a drama/thriller entitled Secrets, supported by Northern Film and Media.
Past short films have screened at numerous film festivals including the Times BFI London Film Festival, Bradford International Film Festival - opening for feature film Fast Food Nation - Dir. Richard Linklater - Edinburgh International Film Festival, Grimm Up North Horror Film Festival - opening for feature film Must Love Death - Dir. Andreas Schaap - Waterford Film Festival, Portobello Film Festival, Wood Green International Film Festival, Leicester International Film Festival, Newport International Film Festival and a number of these shorts have been shortlisted for awards including the Festival of Fantastic Films Amateur Film Award (2000), the Wrangler Short Film Award (2000), runner-up in the Best Scripted category of One Minute Wonders Awards (2006), runner-up in the Propeller Shortfest Drama Award (2008) and nominated for Best Mini Short Film at the Falstaff International Short Film Festival (2009). David also won two consecutive Bronze Remi Awards at the Houston World fest, U.S.A. for his short films Day of the Broken Dolls (2009) and Julie - A Love Story (2010).
