Synopsis of the Film: Anna, 40 years old, does not go out of her apartment since her husband passed away. To keep alive her husband's passion, she hires the services of Aurélien, a young gardener who takes care of the plants and flowers of the terrace in front of the apartment. Between Anna and Aurélien, an alternative communication has taken place: she records her diary on tapes and he records sounds of his life in the city on CD. Both listening to each other's life during gardening sessions. But Aurélien has to go abroad and to tell Anna that he's leaving town...
Bio-filmography of the Director: Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano is a French photographer and film-maker who lives between Paris and Berlin. Raphaël has published a book of his photographs entitled About Estonia. He has directed short films and videos among them is A Night Without the Pope, a filmed portrait of internationally awarded Estonian illustrator and animation film director Priit Pärn. He is currently working on a feature length documentary film on Estonian poet and thinker Jaan Kaplinski: The Kaplinski System. Jardin Kennedy is his third short film. |
