Synopsis of the Film: Ramana's Garden is a home for destitute children which was started almost by mistake by an energetic and charismatic American woman called Prabhavati in Rishikesh, North India. She was once an actress in Hollywood and came to India 30 years ago on a spiritual pilgrimage. Meditating in a cave on the banks of the Ganges she started feeding and teaching a few local children and is now running a home for 70 kids. Prabhavati tells the horrifying stories of these children's lives as she plants tomatoes, and we see how the kids support each other, and how healing happens through art and dance in this loving environment. It is heart warming as we listen to these stories to see the children flourishing and to understand that against all the odds they have the chance to fulfil their potential.
