Back for a quick spell

Unlike most of my other absences, I make no apologies for this one. Between returning grades, having students whine about them, regrading, studying for exams and wrapping things up at Prac, it's been a horrible end of the semester. I'm pretty much done grading what i need to - particularly since i had to turn in my results to the head TA about an hour ago, so if anyone didn't bother to talk to me, it's TS. I pretty much finished doing what i needed to last week, with the exception of my TAship. I still have to proctor the final on Friday and right after that I'm headed for Chicago and to chill with Funk for a few days. I welcome the rest. After this craziness the past month or two, I could really stand to just enjoy myself.

Ive done absolutely nothing worthwhile since Friday, and boy let me tell you. it feel pretty great. Oh wait. did i say 'nothing'? I meant "one thing" worthwhile. I hope youre all ready. Because it's time for the annual  ALL ATTRACTIVE NBA PLAYOFF TEAMS!!!

Enjoy!

I'll be back later.

Sooo... is that it then?

Well. I think I'm done with Madison. I think. It feels kind of awkward to come to this end point, and not really feel any sense of finality. Like, the department really does give a send off of any kind, and not even everyone in the cohort is done. Some people are taking summer classes or are only part time, and I've lost touch with over a two thirds of the people that started out due to the separation that goes on between school, community and higher ed tracks. And it's even stranger that my last act here in Madison before I could leave was to proctor an exam for a course in a different department. And once it was over, I was free, I guess. yay.

On to Minnesota.

Still here.

Unfortunately it looks like I'll have to stay in Madison  bit longer since Funk pushed back the dates that he's available. But hey, a few more days of sleeping in till noon won't kill me. I'm actually tying up a few loose ends around here, so it's not a big deal. And actually, it's been pretty cold up here these last days so, if there was ever a time to just stay in, now would be it.

Later.

Middlewest Summer

I'd forgotten just how glorious it felt to be a bum. To sit on my butt all day and spend the entire time doing noting- or at least nothing of consequence. This has coincided rather well with the weather, considering that it has been raining and gloomy out there for the last week or longer. It was even kinda cold last week. It's not that I enjoy being this way, but since I've had so many long days this semester, I have a lot of loafing to make up for. I actually do plan to be more active this smmer, but to start things off, I'm going to do nothing until the weather becomes more reliably nice. So, the way I look at it, there's nothing to do but stay inside and read.

In a couple of hours though, I hope to be heading to Chicago for 6 days. From there I will be going to visit Funk in the Double C, bordertown Cambridge City (well it borders Ohio). From there I will be going back to Chicago for another spell before returning to Madison. I also plan to visit Minneapolis/St. Paul a couple of times this summer so that I can get an idea of where to live. Hmm. While I plan to take the website program with me on my laptop, I don't really foresee updating this thing very often, so it may be a quiet three weeks, but that is not to say that I won't be around. If you catch me online, don't be afraid to say, "hey, nando! how's it going, bud."

Later.
