Bruxelles Fiction & Documentary Festival

 

The Annual Programme Without Frontiers integrated by Cinema Festivals worldwide, promotes this Festival dedicated to Fiction and Documentary Films. It is aimed at valorising the Cinema Production, and at encouraging the creativity and the artistic outcome, regardless the material resources used in each film, generating a wide exchange of aesthetic and ideas between producers of distinct cultures.

Rules and Regulations

  1. All fiction and documentary films or videos can register in the Bruxelles Fiction & Documentary Festival. There is not limitation about film duration.

  2. No work or artist will be either discriminated or favored by their country of origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, or by their economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.

  3. The films will be received in its original language. English or French subtitles are required if its language is other than English or French.

  4. For equality of opportunities, whichever the original format (film, analogical video, digital video, animation), all the films will be evaluated in the same standard digital format.

  5. Films may be uploaded by Internet or a DVD can be sent by regular mail to the technical provider address.
    Digital Format: you can upload the film following our technical guidelines, directly in the screening format, or in other accepted digital formats, including DVD.
    If necessary, the technical provider of the Annual Program Without Frontiers will process the movies for converting them to the screening format.

  6. Every film will be displayed for the Committee of Art and the Jury of the Festival.
    The producer, director or responsible for the film will have the option to authorize or not the public online screening of that film. Non public films have the same rights and opportunities for Selection and Awards, although they will not be screened for the festival's audience.

  7. The Committee of Art of the Program will see the films for selection purposes. The Committee of Art can also determine Special Mentions.

  8. The Jury of the Festival will award the following Categories: Screenplay, Direction, Actor and Actress Performances, Art, Photography, Editing, and Integral Realization. In addition to the Prizes by Category, the Jury will grant the Special Prize to the Best Fiction Film and the Special Prize to the Best Documentary Film.

  9. The Awards will be announced by Internet and distributed by International Press Media.

  10. The films included in the Official Selection will be screened online at the Festival's site, only with the exception of non-authorized ones.

  11. The Committee of Art reserves the right to select and to invite any of the films registered, to the Annual Gala Ceremony or other events and media.

  12. Announcement of the Awards is scheduled for September 30th, 2010. In order to participate in the Festival, films bear an entry fee of USD 20.
    Early deadline for registration is March 31st. Early entry fee is USD 18.

  13. Participation in the Bruxelles Fiction & Documentary Festival implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.

On pressing the "Next" button, the data of the Film is memorized by the system and, to validate the registration, the screen will display the form for payment by credit card of the Entry Fee of USD 20. This order will be processed by Verisign, the leading Secure Payment Company, and confirmed in seconds. You can choose other forms of payment too.
Once the registration is completed, you will be invited to visit a special web-site for film submission. In addition, you will be asked for detailed information about the movie and the people who work in the realization, because the Committee of Art and the Jury will need this data.
Then we'll be in contact regarding all the activities of the Festival and the Program.
