The Annual Programme Without Frontiers, integrated by Cinema Festivals worldwide is aimed at valorising the creativity and the artistic outcome, regardless the material resources used in each film, generating a wide exchange of aesthetic and ideas between producers of distinct cultures.

Rules and Regulations:

  1. All the films of up to 30 minutes long can register in the FESTIVAL DE CINE INTERNACIONAL DE BARCELONA. 

  2. No work or artist will be either discriminated or favoured by their country of origin, language, age, race, education, ideology, or by their economic resources. Every content, every form, every technique will be admitted with no censorship of any kind.

  3. The films will have to appear in its original language, no subtitles are required. However, subtitled films will be accepted, especially if its language is other than English or Spanish.

  4. Whichever the original format (film, analogical video, digital video, animation) all films will be processed alike: using software approved by the Annual Programme Without Frontiers, sent by Internet and lodged in auxiliary servers for the evaluation of the Jury. If a film can be displayed at the moment from Internet, simply can be sent the link. Also there is an option to send a digital copy on-line.

  5. For producers who prefer the traditional way, there is a DVD, CD-ROM, MiniDVCAM, MiniDV or VHS submission option, to our technical provider address, for digitising, converting to approved files, and uploading to Festival servers.

  6. As a first stage, all the films will be displayed by the Committee of Art of the Programme to consider possible invitations to other events. The Committee of Art can also determine Special Mentions.

  7. At last, the Jury of the Festival will award the following Categories: screenplay, direction, actor and actress performances, art, photography, edition, and integral realisation. In addition to the Prizes by Category, the Jury will grant the Special Prize to the Best Short Film.

  8. The Awards will be announced by Internet and distributed by International Press Media. Prizes, the Festival and the Programme must be mentioned in all public display and promotion material of the films awarded.

  9. The Commitee of Art reserves the right to select and to invite any of the films registered, to other events and media, such as the Annual International Screening, open to the public and press media.

  10. The announcement of the Awards is programmed for August 31st, 2008. Late deadline for registration is May 31st, 2008.

  11. In order to participate in the Festival, films bear an entry fee of USD 20.

  12. Participation in the FESTIVAL DE CINE INTERNACIONAL DE BARCELONA implies the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations.

On pressing the "Next" button, the data of the Film are memorised by the system, and to validate the registration, the screen will display the form of payment by credit card for the Entry Fee of USD 20. This order will be processed by Verisign, the leading Secure Payment Company, and confirmed in seconds. You can choose other forms of payment too.
Once completed the registration, you will be invited to visit a special web-site for film submission. In addition, we?ll exchange detailed information about the movie and the people who work in the realisation, because the Committee of Art and the Jury will need this data.
Then we?ll be in contact regarding all the activities of the Festival and the Program.
